Imagine, just as everything in your life finally starts going according to plan, it all suddenly changes and your whole world is turned upside down.
Sarah Goodman had me hooked from the first chapter of this book. The characters in “Life’s Perfect Plan” are so real and believable that you could be reading about your sister, your best friend, or even yourself. I have to admit that I had to keep a box of tissues close by while reading this book because there are parts that will tear your heart out. Even though there are tear-jerking moments in this book, there are also moments where you will find yourself laughing right along with the characters. This is one book that will definitely be going on my list of favorites and I will be watching for the rest of the books in this series so that I can follow up with all of the secondary characters from this one.
Beth and Grant are a very happily married couple. The only thing missing from their lives is the baby that they both desperately want. They have been trying for years to conceive but have not had any luck. Grant is worried about the physical and mental toll trying to conceive is having on the love of his life, Beth. They finally decide that they will try one last round of IVF and if it does not work they will take a break from everything for a while and allow nature to take it’s course. When Beth goes in for the implantation she ends up making a split second decision that will ultimately impact the rest of her life.
Even when we have a plan for our lives things do not always go according to our plan. A tragic accident is about to turn Beth’s world upside down and there is nothing she can do to stop it. Beth is going to need the support of her two best friends, Kate and Ella, and her hot new doctor, Jacob, to make it throught the most difficult time she has ever faced in her life. Sometimes people enter our lives at the most unexpected moments and that is what Jacob does for Beth. He is there to pick her up (literally) and help her through her entire pregnancy. Along the way, Beth begins to see that there is no such thing as a “perfect plan”, sometimes God has a different plan for us that we are not able to see until the time is right.
While reading this book I made a playlist from songs that are mentioned within it. I highly recommend listening to these songs while you are reading this book or after you finish it. They have so much of the emotions that are conveyed throughout this entire book.

First all of the two men in this book are both freaking amazing. They both had me in my knees and my emotions in their palms. Grant is so in love with Beth you can feel it seeping from his actions. I love Beth's journey and how you are able to feel everyone of her emotions along with her. Very well written, I did not want this book to end. I love Jacob and his sincerity. I love how his feelings are constantly on his sleeve even when it is hindering him. Hope to hear more and follow up on this beautiful family in Kate's story.

I'm sure there are many readers in the same position/thinking that I am. We want something fresh and new and not the same love stories told over and over.
This book is just that! The author was thinking outside the box. I crave to read more books like this. A real life story no matter how horrific, where love surpasses all obstacles that life throws at us.
The real world works that way so, it's true, it's raw and it's real life occurrences.
Must read in my opinion.

I loved this book for many reasons. It was a believable story about believable people. Sarah's writing sucked me in with her clear descriptions and real characters. I felt like I really knew them. I'm not much of a crier, especially with books, but I found myself reaching for the Kleenex on more than one occasion. I just felt so connected to the story. I can't wait to read about Kate in the next book. I already like her character. Thank you for sharing your talent Sarah!!!
