Sarah was born and raised in Central Florida. She grew up in a household full of boys. She is the oldest with two younger brothers. You can say Sarah grew up somewhat a 'tomboy'. She loved playing ball with her brothers, riding bikes, and building with their Legos. Her dream was to become and Architect until Math got in the way of that career choice. Her second choice was teaching. She has been teaching for over seventeen years.
At the age of sixteen she applied for a job at Burger King where she met her husband. Six years later they were married. Flash Forward twelve years, they are now parents to three handsome sons.
Writing a novel wasn't a part of her dream. Then again life truly never follows to plan. It was then Sarah felt her life needed a fictional story behind it. In Spring 2013 she took out her laptop and decided to write. She wasn't going to do anything with it until a close friend and her mother said that she needed to publish it. Experiences in life that she has encountered are what fill the lives of "Beth and Jacob's" in "Life's Perfect Plan".
One experience that Sarah and her husband has endured are the births of their son's. All three were born premature, with each birth coming sooner than the other. Since 2005 with their second son's birth they have been participants with the March of Dimes. Her husband is now on the board of directors for the Central Florida March of Dimes. The Goodman family served as the ambassador family for a March of Dimes event in 2009. This was right after their third son was born 8 weeks premature.
Being thirty-something Sarah has read a lot, but there were never stories related to her generation and with real life issues. She felt that death, fertility issues, premature births, divorce, cheating, wounded veterans, adoption, family secrets, drug abuse, domestic abuse, miscarriage, lost loves, etc. This is the everyday "life events" that Sarah wants her readers to relate and feel a connection to her characters.
Sarah has no desire to stop writing. She finally has found her passion and continues to write.
